The Top Ten Indie Songs for May 2019 are in.
Congrats to U.K. indie rock band The Gallery for taking the No. 1 spot for their riveting track, “Pesticide.” Vancouver multi-instrumentalist Alex Montenegro, aka Aftermidnite, came in at a close No. 2 with “Isla,” a song he wrote about his newborn daughter. There are so many solid tracks here.
The Top Ten is based on listeners streams, downloads, and shares from posts that we published in May. These are almost all DIY artists that usually don’t get much attention despite their talents. Others are brand new to the indie scene.
