Best Indie Artists and Bands of the 21 Century

Holla to Indie Fans:There are so many great indie bands that have emerged so far this century, that it is nearly impossible to list the Indie Top 50.
Tell us what you think are the best indie artists formed from 2000 and on using the Comments link below or email IRC your favorites.
At the end of the month, we will tabulate the results and post them on the IRC website as well as pick one person to win a gift card of their choice.

i find it nearly impossible to do this since many of my favorite indie bands formed before 2000.
let me think. i guess i would have to say Iron and Wine not just becaues the husband and wife duo are such amazing songwriters, but also because they have such a solid collection of songs, mostly ballads that melt your heart and make you feel almost euphoric.
I might say Doh!! later on when I discover that I band that I would have put here that is "better" than I&W, but for now this is my pick. I'd pick Architecture in Helsinki (if you haven't hear them, strongly recommend you do) as my second choice.

- The Format
